James Muirhead Grant came to light in a recent thread for St. Margaret's Church, Barnhill, Dundee.
He was a captain in the 15th Hussars and is reported to have been gassed in the fighting at Bourlon Wood in December, 1917.
He relinquished his commission, owing to ill health, on 17th August, 1918 and died in Bournemouth on 29th September, 1918.
He is very much a 'potential' non comm.
I have sent for his death certificate in the first instance to see what is stated as the cause of death.

I am in receipt of Grant's DC and Service File. These have been sent to Terry Denham and the case will go forward for consideration.
Hopefully he will be accepted for commemoration.
