I saw this one on ebay.
LORETTO SCHOOL ROLL OF HONOUR 1939-1945
Photographs and Biographical details of 87+ killed or died. Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, Colonial Units.
61 Pages Hard Back.
The roll of honour of former pupils who fell during the Second World War.
A small biography attends each name as well as their military record. Many have a few words taken from letters etc. Some b/w photoraphs.
Derek.

Thankx Delboy for bringing this to my attention.
As I live in Musselburgh and am currently trying to compile a list of War dead assocciated with the area, I just could not resist! So hopefully in the next few days I will be the proud owner of this book.

As much as I use the internet alot, it isn't always possible or convienient to do so, so I also like paper copies. As you have probably guessed I did decide to buy it in the end and have spent a few hours just reading about these brave young men.

The above link no longer works. Access to the rolls for both World Wars is at
http://ol.loretto.com/RollOfHonour
Incidentally could the threads for Loretto be sorted out?
The memorial photos are under "Lothians - School Memorials" whereas the WW1 and WW2 Rolls are here under "Edinburgh - Rolls of Honour" _________________ Ken |
