I saw this snippet of news in Saturday's Evening News and it's also online here on the West Lothian Council community web page:

Meeting to discuss war memorial
An open meeting is being held in the Strathbrock Partnership Centre on Monday 25 August at 7.30pm, to discuss creating a new memorial for Broxburn.
Community groups have already been invited, and any interested members of the public are welcome to come along and have their say on the proposals.
Councillor Ellen Glass, who chairs the Broxburn Uphall and Winchburgh Local Area Committee, said: "Unlike many towns in West Lothian, Broxburn currently does not have an outdoor war memorial.
"We would like to hear the views of the public and interested groups on the possibility of creating one." |

The highlighting of outdoor was mine. I take it then up until now Broxburn's memorials have been in a church or hall.
Even though I'm not a local I've half a mind to go to the meeting to see what is being proposed. Anyone else interested in coming too?

I'm unable to go but I'll ask my Mum (who lives in Broxburn) to attend and report back. I'm sure that she will be happy to attend.
